  1. Dendrobium Angel Kisses

    Dendrobium Angel Kisses

    SKU:9615/30

(Dendrobium Ise' Colorful' x Dendrobium Angel Baby 'Newberry' AM/AOS)

One of our first seedlings to flower is pictured above. Our first cross offered from the recently awarded Dendrobium Angel Baby parent.  Dwarf, almost miniature plants will be covered in long-lasting pale pink and white blooms. Both parents are free flowering, though the biggest display of blooms will be in Late Winter. Plants are easy to cultivate and do not seem to drop leaves as easily as many Dendrobiums. Soft fragrance.

  2. Epidendrum magnoliae var. mexicanum x self

Epidendrum magnoliae var. mexicanum x self

    SKU:10174/MT

The former name of this species was conopseum, with the definition meaning ‘mosquito like’ blooms. Our seedlings are bred from the relatively larger and more floriferous Mexican form of this rare and unique species. Each bloom stem produces sprays of tiny green and tan blooms in the late summer through the fall. Plants are quite small when mature, usually only six inches or less with flower stems being only slightly taller.

Normally found in nature as an epiphyte, plants grow on oak or cypress trees in lowlands and swampy areas with high humidity. Bright but diffused light is preferred however good air flow is a must to prevent burnt foliage. Water frequently throughout the year, with no rest period.

Our plants are growing (and should remain) on tree fern mounts which can be attached to larger mounts as the plants grow. They arer flowering size and can produce buds anytime.  Please keep in mind this is a very miniature growing orchid.

  3. Maxillaria variabilis (gold)

    Maxillaria Ben Berliner

    SKU:10166/35

(Maxillaria variabilis (gold) x tenuifolia aurea)

Our remake was made using the less common yellow forms of both species. We expect to see miniature yellow blooms, some with dark eyes and some with reddish freckles. The second parent is very fragrant so that may come through as well. These will prefer cool to intermediate temperatures and damp feet.

  4. Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *Miniature in Spike*

Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *Miniature in Spike*

    SKU:10354/25

This miniature will look cute as a button gracing your tabletop or sunny windowsill. Small growing plants produce branched stems of tiny delicately pink blooms that carry a lovely and soft fragrance. Flowers last for weeks under normal conditions. Perfect for beginners and a great choice for under light culture.

Plants prefer intermediate conditions with medium to bright indirect light and 65-85 degree temperatures. Roots are very fine so we suggest that you do not allow media to dry completely out, instead maintaining some moisture at all times.

We have plants available in 2.5” pots, that all have multiple spikes that will start showing buds soon. Plants can be repotted into larger pots right after flowering or next spring on new growth. Get yours before they are gone!

Paph. Raisin Pie 'Greensleeves' x Paph. Makuli 'Maggie' CCE/AOS

    SKU:10056-10296/35

These husky seedlings are blooming just like we have hoped, beautiful coloratum blooms with dark wine pouches and distinct freckles. Strong upright stem habit, with good sized flowers.  This summer we have discovered these will be free-flowering. This means they can flower more than once per year, with buds appearing as soon as each new growth is mature.

  8. Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. chattalade

Phal. cornu-cervi var. chattalade '#2' x Phal. corningiana

    SKU:10219/25

Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. chattalade is the intense red form of this species and was only introduced to the orchid world about ten years ago. Flower stems are evergreen and sequential. Our strain of Phalaenopsis corningiana has exceptional color and remarkable fragrance. (We can always tell when one is flowering in the greenhouse!)

We were inspired to make this primary cross in the hopes of a new generation of bold red blooms with delicious fragrance.  The already lush growth habit is likely to stay compact, and should do well in baskets with a sphagnum moss based media. Foliage is a medium green and shows some dark red and purple shading. Glossy blooms with a waxy substance will appear evergreen stems during the late spring and summer months.

These seedlings are expected to reach flowering size by next summer. Can't wait to see them bloom!
