  2. Epidendrum nocturnum

    Epidendrum nocturnum

    SKU:10311/30

We acquired our compact growing strain from Eucagenera, many years ago. These have been fast growers and easy bloomers. Plants grow in clumps with pale cream and tan blooms that are only fragrant in the evening and overnight hours. Great for warm climates and does well with mount or basket culture.

We have Blooming Size plants in 3” mesh baskets that are large enough to bud and flower at any time.  As they mature, plants become free-flowering year round.

  3. Laelia purpurata coerulea 'Sweet Twilight'

Laelia purpurata coerulea 'Sweet Twilight' x Laelia purpurata werkhauseri 'Blue Sky'

    SKU:10176/30

This Brazilian species is considered the 'Queen of the Laelias'. Once you enjoy the elegant show-stopping displays of spring time flowers you will agree!  This grex uses two different 'blue-lipped' forms to produce a new generation of seedlings that will have petals either pure white or slightly smokey gray. The trumpet shaped lips will have colors from slate to hyacinth combined with a heady floral fragrance.  Recommended for greenhouse or shade-house culture because they will need plenty of warm, bright light to mature.

We have plants available in 3" pots.

This pure white form is considered one of the rarest colors of this species. We used our two best and most floriferous parents in this new offering. Very Fragrant.

This species should be grown in very bright, indirect light and prefers 65-85 degrees year round if possible.  Plants can tolerate cooler temperatures if kept dry. Large growing, and needs plenty of space as they grow.

Paph. insigne var. sanderae x self

It has been a long time since we have been able to offer this hard to find species. Low growing, medium green foliage will showcase stems of light chartreuse blooms in mid to late winter. Plants prefer moderate light levels and should be allowed a slight winter resting period. The addition of crushed limestone may be beneficial. Recommended for intermediate and advanced growers.
