  1. Cattleya harrisoniae 'Homestead' x Cattleya harrisoniae *New*

Cattleya harrisoniae 'Homestead' x Cattleya harrisoniae *New*

    SKU:10198/30

Cattleya harrisoniae 'Homestead' x Cattleya harrisoniae

This stunning species originates in Southeastern Brazil and is a lover of warm, bright conditions.  Tall, upright stems of bold heliotrope colored blooms in the middle of summer. Cattleya loddigesii and harrisoniana often have cases of mistaken identity, but this new grex is true and will flower similar to the photo shown.

Best suited for shadehouses, lathehouses, greenhouses and other well-lit growing environments.  As this species prefers a bit of a dry spell over the winter months, this should be grown in a very well draining media that can dry out, or in hanging baskets with coarse media for the roots to cling to.  If grown too damp in the off-season roots will decline rapidly.

We are offering well established plants in 3” mesh baskets, that are already showing growth for this spring.  Plants are expected to reach flowering size in 2-3 years or less, in some conditions.

  2. Cattleya trianae 'A.C. Burrage' AM/AOS *Rare Species*

Cattleya trianae 'A.C. Burrage' AM/AOS *Rare Species*

    SKU:8060M/25

    Cattleya trianae 'A.C. Burrage' AM/AOS

This special cultivar was named after the first president of the American Orchid Society. Our plants are tissue cultured from the original plant granted an Award of Merit from the AOS in 1939 and from the RHS in 1948.  Blooms are a soft lavender-pink with purple and yellow coloring on the lip.  Excellent round form and good substance.  This item is not often available so get yours while you can!

This is a good grower with sturdy foliage.  Requires standard cattleya conditions, meaning bright indirect light and a day/night temperature change. We are offering plants established in 2.5" pots.  We expect these to be flowering size in approximately 3 years.

  3. Ctna. Capri 'Lea' AM/AOS x Encyclia tampensis alba *New*

Ctna. Capri 'Lea' AM/AOS x Encyclia tampensis alba *New*

    SKU:10204/30

Ctna. Capri 'Lea' AM/AOS x Encyclia tampensis alba

A brand new hybrid that we are very excited about.  This first to flower was a very compact plant with dusky rose blooms with cream and purple lip coloring.  We expect to see a range of bloom colors from light rose to pinkish-tan.  Hopefully some of the seedlings will carry forward the Capri petal splashes.  Regardless, these will be cute and small growing plants with tight foliage habit.  Possibly free flowering in warm-climates.

Excellent for warm growing conditions and suitable for baskets or on mounts.  The first parent has Broughtonia sanguinea in its parentage, and we have found it must have well draining media at all times.  Bright, indirect light will be best.

We are offering Near Blooming Size plants growing in 3” mesh baskets.  Plants are expected to flower for the first time within 12-18 months.

    SKU:10223/25

Lc. Mary Ellen Carter 'Dixie Hummingbird' HCC/AOS x Sc. Lana Coryell 'Forevermore' AM/AOS

Our newest warm growing compact cattleya hybrid.  The first parent is our famous, standard sized Mary Ellen Carter 'Dixie Hummingbird' with gorgeous gold and orange art-shade blooms. The second is a newer plant in our collection that is already proving itself.  Lana Coryell 'Forevermore' is a little beauty with peach and canary yellow blooms.  This new generation will be warmth tolerant and somewhat short growing, with blooms in various gold, yellow and peach art-shades.  We are also hoping for fragrance!  Very nice growers and expected to start blooming young.

We have a nice crop of these but they are expected to go fast!  Established in 2.5" pots.

  5. Pot. Paxton Brooks 'Orange Surprise'

Potianara Paxton Brooks ‘Orange Surprise’ x Potinara Paxton Brooks ‘Sunset Glow’

    SKU:10046/25

We flowered so many wonderful cultivars from the original grex, we had a hard time choosing our two favorites to create this sibling cross.  These seedlings are expected to be mostly compact growers, though a few larger growing plants are expected.  Flowers will be a in a range of sunset tones from orange and peach to rose and some coral shades.  Warmth tolerant but the best flower coloring can appear in cooler temperatures.  Some of these will flower multiple times per year.

We have a nice crop of plants established in 2.5" pots.

Sc. Lana Coryell ‘Pink’ x Blc. Pastoral 'Innocence' FCC/AOS

    SKU:10210/25

Sc. Lana Coryell ‘Pink’ x Blc. Pastoral 'Innocence' FCC/AOS

We are so excited about this brand new selection!  Our favorite miniature pink Lana Coryell is combined with the stunning Pastoral 'Innocence'.  The latter parent has brilliant white blooms and has received numerous flower and cultural awards all over the world. These seedlings have been a joy to cultivate with fast growing foliage that shows a darker, glossy green.  Our aim is for very floriferous, compact plants with stems of round pink, cream or white blooms. These are showing warmth tolerance.

Very pretty plants growing in 2.5" pots.

    SKU:SurpriseCatt/50

Let us surprise you with this new Grower's Pick collection.  We will choose an assortment of five different Cattleya alliance plants from our benches for one reduced price. Some of these will be older items in very short supply and not able to be individually offered and others more recently introduced. Plants will be various colors and blooming seasons and a number of them will be fragrant.  Some may arrive ready for repotting this season but most will be fine for another year.

These plants are expected to bloom within 2-3 years or maybe less, in the case of the more overgrown plants.  All will need bright indirect light and most will be standard sized growers.  Because of their size when mature and because of their light requirements, these plants may not be suitable for windowsill growing.
