Bc. Mount Hood 'Mary' AM/AOS

This large, robust grower has sparkling white flowers that can reach ten inches across. The icy green throat coloring is sometimes paired with a faint purple lipstick marking on warm weather blooms.

One of our first crosses with the stunning Raspberry Parfait. We are expecting a range of soft yellows, creams and some pale pinks to come from this pairing. All should be excellent growers and very floriferous. Very Fragrant.

A Pair with Flare!  A Duo of New Cattleya Hybrids

The crosses included in this set of brand new Cattleya seedlings were bred for vibrant and showy blooms with distinctive petal splashes.  Flowers will show a range of red, purple and deep fuchsia with varying intensities of petal flaring.  Award potential! We expect these to be very popular so grab yours while you can.  Super fragrant and large growing, these standard cattleyas will make a statement in any collection.

Plants are well established in at least 2.5" pots, and expected to flower in approximately 2-3 years.

Artshade Cattleya Collection of Six Plants

Carter and Holmes Orchids has always been in love with blooms in the art-shade range.  Dusky Peaches, Pumpkin Oranges, Glowing Reds, Yellows with Red Markings and those that carry a unique blend of multiple colors. All of these make marvelous (and colorful) additions to a quality Cattleya collection.  Our new grouping includes three classic mericlones that are customer favorites, paired with three brand new, seedgrown crosses with amazing promise.  All are large growing standard Cattleya breeding and will be at least 15"-18" tall at maturity with large fragrant blooms.  

For a special price we will send one each of the following plants in 2.5"-3" pot sizes.  (Plants are expected to be flowering size in 2-3 years depending on conditions.)

 M8061 Blc. Campobello ‘Mendenhall’ HCC/AOS- Smooth chartreuse yellow blooms in late fall. Very Fragrant and a great specimen grower.

M8556 Blc. Kure Beach ‘Lenette #2’ AM/AOS- Blooms open butter yellow and age to a lighter coloring with deep yellow petal flares. Fall bloomer.

M8548 Lc. Newberry Firehouse ‘Mendenhall’- An old favorite with solid red blooms in late summer.

First time offering of a Limited Edition hybrid.  Both parents have great potential and together we should see spectacular results.  Our expectations are for well-shaped cream to ivory yellow blooms with faint pink blushing. The first parent is a very large grower so some of the seedlings may need a bit of space. We can't wait to see these flower!

Both of the parents in this new cross are favorites for their shape, size and coloring.  These seedlings will be large, standard sized growers showing a range of impressive white, cream and pink blooms.  All should be very fragrant. These will be very nice!

We are very pleased to present our exclusive and much anticipated new mericlone. The original was acquired directly from the Rod McLellan Co years ago and we have never seen another bloom that compares. This gorgeous offering has huge, round blooms of soft lavender-pink with a wash of lemony yellow coloring high in the throat. A very clean, upright grower that you can expect to produce flowers in mid to late fall each year. Extremely fragrant.

A new and unique cross that should have some exciting results.  The first parent is a large, concolor yellow standard with heavy substance, combined with the clusters of spotted blooms on Mark Jones.  We hope to see clusters of medium sized yellow to greenish blooms with some freckles on the petals.  Most will have at least some purple coloring on the lip.

Blc. Dahl’s Grace ‘Peach Sorbet’ AM/AOS x Blc. Kure Beach ‘Lenette #2’ AM/AOS

A brand new cross with great potential.  The first parent is a large stunning peach bred from the famous Blc. George King 'Serendipity'.  Blc. Kure Beach is one of our best yellows and can pass along petal flaring to its progeny.  These are showing husky growth habit with dark green foliage.  Very fragrant, fall to winter bloomers expected.

We are offering these in 2.5" pots, which are approximately 3 years until flowering size.
