It has been a long time since we have been able to offer this rare and unusual species. Foliage appears to have a braided look with miniature yellow blooms appearing in the spring. Can tolerate a range of conditions but does best if shaded during the hottest months. Do not allow to stay dry for long.

  2. Epidendrum nocturnum

    Epidendrum nocturnum

    SKU:10311/30

We acquired our compact growing strain from Eucagenera, many years ago. These have been fast growers and easy bloomers. Plants grow in clumps with pale cream and tan blooms that are only fragrant in the evening and overnight hours. Great for warm climates and does well with mount or basket culture.

We have Blooming Size plants in 3” mesh baskets that are large enough to bud and flower at any time.  As they mature, plants become free-flowering year round.

  3. Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

    Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

    SKU:10563/25

    Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

This species is famous for its luscious ‘Coconut Cream Pie’ fragrance. Starting in late winter and early spring plants will cover themselves in dozens of dark red blooms that will fill the room with this sweet, tropical scent. Flowers on this cultivar are the largest and darkest we have seen with heavy, long-lasting substance. This species will need to be cultivated in cool to intermediate (65-85 degrees) temperatures and bright, indirect light. As roots should not be allowed to dry out, we suggest watering 2-3 times per week.

We are offering very nice, well grown plants in 2.5" pots with sturdy bulbs and long grassy foliage. Plants are near flowering size and can bloom in the next 12-18 months.

These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.

  4. Miltoniopsis 'Pansy Faced' Orchid- in Spike & Bud

Miltoniopsis 'Pansy Faced' Orchid- in Spike & Bud

    SKU:PansyOrchid/40/Double

    Miltoniopsis 'Pansy Faced' Orchids

These stunning jewels of spring are excellent for home growers or for cooler greenhouses. Long sprays of large, pastel blooms which can carry a faint rose fragrance. Miltoniopsis have thin foliage which can burn easily in bright light or warm temperatures so it is recommended to keep plants in intermediate (55-75 degrees) temperatures when at all possible. Water once to twice per week, never allowing the media to stay dry for long. Plants can be repotted in the late spring and summer after flowering, while plants are still in growth phase.

While supplies last we are offering 4" pots already in spike and bud to start blooming over the coming month. Colors will vary but all are in shades of pink, reddish and white/cream. Our growers will select the prettiest plants for your order and at this time are all double spiked for twice the show. What a perfect gift to celebrate spring!

Photos show only examples of the type of blooms we may send. Duplications are possible if multiples are ordered.

We ship orders with Budded or Ready to Bloom Orchids as weather allows by location.  If plants have to be held due to extreme temperatures or other concerns, exact bloom stage may vary when plant arrives.
