    Cymbidium dayanum album

    SKU:9233/40

Cymbidium dayanum album 'Lady Elizabeth' CHM/AOS x self

We have found that the seedlings of this award winning parent are fast growers and thrive in lower light levels than most Cymbidiums, though brighter conditions will increase bud count.

Pendant stems of cream and faintly green flowers. As plants mature, multiple bloom stems are expected each year giving this excellent specimen potential.  Thin, grassy foliage that likes lots of airflow to prevent spotting. Great for hanging pots or baskets.

Plants are flowering size and growing in 4" pots.

  4. Epidendrum nocturnum

    Epidendrum nocturnum

    SKU:10311/30

We acquired our compact growing strain from Eucagenera, many years ago. These have been fast growers and easy bloomers. Plants grow in clumps with pale cream and tan blooms that are only fragrant in the evening and overnight hours. Great for warm climates and does well with mount or basket culture.

We have Blooming Size plants in 3” mesh baskets that are large enough to bud and flower at any time.  As they mature, plants become free-flowering year round.

  5. Holcoglossum wangii

    Holcoglossum wangii

    SKU:10035/25

    Holcoglossum wangii

This rare and unusual species hails from select regions of China and Vietnam where conditions of shady most of the year, with very high humidity. Plants have terete foliage, and are usually grown pedant, with leaves hanging downward as they mature.  Bloom stems emerge on slender inflorescences, and have white petal segments with darker reddish-purple spotting near the heart.  Flowers have an open 'windmill' shape, with each petal having a bit of a twist as the base.

Growing Suggestions: Perfectly suited for intermediate to warm temperatures, usually 65-85 degrees.  Since many people grow these in baskets or on mounts, high humidity is a must in addition to almost daily watering or mistings.  Medium to bright light, depending on how much airflow is available, will be best.  Fertilize year round, every third or fourth watering. Don't repot or re-mount too often as plants do not like to be disturbed once they are settled.

We have available Blooming Size plants in 2.5" pots.  First flowers are expected in the next 6-12 months, in season.

  6. Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

    Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

    SKU:10563/25

    Maxillaria tenuifolia ‘Green Valley’

This species is famous for its luscious ‘Coconut Cream Pie’ fragrance. Starting in late winter and early spring plants will cover themselves in dozens of dark red blooms that will fill the room with this sweet, tropical scent. Flowers on this cultivar are the largest and darkest we have seen with heavy, long-lasting substance. This species will need to be cultivated in cool to intermediate (65-85 degrees) temperatures and bright, indirect light. As roots should not be allowed to dry out, we suggest watering 2-3 times per week.

We are offering very nice, well grown plants in 2.5" pots with sturdy bulbs and long grassy foliage. Plants are near flowering size and can bloom in the next 12-18 months.
