  1. Doritis pulcherrima

    Doritis pulcherrima

This new grex represents generations of line breeding for excellent dark, round blooms. A great species for beginners and collectors.  Tall, stems of medium sized blooms in late summer and into early fall.  This species offering needs similar growing conditions to most Phalaenopsis though they can tolerate conditions a bit brighter and warmer if needed.

We are offering vigorous plants in 3.5" pots that are large enough to to flower in the coming year.

  2. Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *IN SPIKE*

    Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *IN SPIKE*

This miniature will look cute as a button gracing your tabletop or sunny windowsill. Small growing plants produce branched stems of tiny delicately pink blooms that carry a lovely and soft fragrance. Flowers last for weeks under normal conditions. Perfect for beginners and a great choice for under light culture.

Plants prefer intermediate conditions with medium to bright indirect light and 65-85 degree temperatures. Roots are very fine so we suggest that you do not allow media to dry completely out, instead maintaining some moisture at all times.

We have plants available in 2.5” pots, that all have two or more spikes, and are in spike stage to bud and bloom soon. Plants can be repotted into larger pots after flowering or next spring on new growth. Get yours before they are gone!

These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.

  3. Phalaenopsis violacea var. indigo

    Phalaenopsis violacea var. indigo

Phal. violacea indigo (Strain from Orchidview)

These seedlings come from impressive pedigree and most will have the gorgeous ‘indigo’ blue coloring, though some magentas will pop up. Fragrant with a spicy, sweet scent. Plants are beautiful with lush foliage.  These should be grown in intermediate to warm conditions year round and low light (1200-1500 foot candles) for best results.

A Note on 'Indigos'- This color form is not the same as coerulea, which is the natural light blue-lavender coloring found in this species.  The color form known as 'indigo' began at Orchidview with HP Norton's hybridizing for superb magenta colored blooms.  This grex and others we have offered represent line breeding using selfings and sibling crosses to achieve new generations of seedlings that will have high percentages of indigo blue flowers.  Each generation we hybridize for will have higher chances of these gorgeous dark blue flowers, though the exact shade of indigo can vary by plant and based on culture.

Plants are currently growing in 3" pots and are flowering size.  This means they can produce bloom spikes at any time.   Please Limit to One per Customer.

  4. Pot. Newberry Apricot x Pot. Newberry Delight 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS

Pot. Newberry Apricot x Pot. Newberry Delight 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS

Pot. Newberry Apricot  x Pot. Newberry Delight 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS

    (Both parents are pictured)

This is our newest miniature to compact growing cattleya selection.  This time we have combined our favorite red parent, Newberry Delight with Newberry Apricot.  The latter is an interesting combination of Blc. George King x Soph. coccinea.  We are expecting to see a range of red and orange blooms, with very round overlapping form.  Plants will be compact growers around 10" tall when mature.  We do suggest these for cool to intermediate conditions due to the recent Sophronitis influence.

We have Near Blooming Size plants in at least 2.5" pot size.  These are expected to flower for the first time within 12-18 months.

  5. Pot. Paxton Brooks 'Orange Surprise'

Potianara Paxton Brooks ‘Orange Surprise’ x Potinara Paxton Brooks ‘Sunset Glow’

We flowered so many wonderful cultivars from the original grex, we had a hard time choosing our two favorites to create this sibling cross.  These seedlings are expected to be mostly compact growers, though a few larger growing plants are expected.  Flowers will be in a range of sunset tones from orange and peach to rose and some coral shades.  Warmth tolerant but the best flower coloring can appear in cooler temperatures.  Some of these will flower multiple times per year.

We have a nice crop of plants established in 2.5" pots.
