As seen on the cover of our Holiday 2016 catalog.

This pure white form is considered one of the rarest colors of this species. We used our two best and most floriferous parents in this new offering. Very Fragrant.

This species should be grown in very bright, indirect light and prefers 65-85 degrees year round if possible.  Plants can tolerate cooler temperatures if kept dry. Large growing, and needs plenty of space as they grow.

  4. Laelia rubescens (alba x aurea) x sib *New Rare Species*

Laelia rubescens (alba x aurea) x sib *New Rare Species*

    SKU:9982/25

Laelia rubescens (alba x aurea) x sib

This hard to find species is native to Mexico and down through Central America, usually in areas with warm, bright conditions. Plants have rounded, short and rather flat pseudobulbs with thick rounded foliage.  Each fall after the summer growing period is over, tall bloom stems emerge to bloom usually by November.  This form was made using both white and yellow parents.  The results being flowers are a creamy off-white with black “eyes” in the center  Mature plants can hold multiple stems each season, with dozens of flowers making quite an impressive sight.

Growing Suggestions:  Recommended for warm growing conditions, meaning 65 degrees or warmer year round.  Plants can tolerate short periods of cooler weather if kept dry. As plants mature, brighter light will be needed than seedlings currently receive but be cautious of causing leaf blushing or burn as plants won't recover easily. We usually hang larger plants high in the greenhouse above other crops and they flower well. Well draining media is a must to avoid rot.  These are easily grown in hanging baskets or on mounts.  We also have found that a bit of a dry winter rest is appreciated in cooler climates.  Water just enough to keep roots and bulbs from shriveling.

We are offering these beauties in 2" mesh pots.  After they outgrow these containers in the next year or two they can be slid right into larger baskets with little fuss.  Plants are expected to be flowering size in approximately two years.

These are showing lush green foliage with semi-bifoliate growth habit.  Expected to mainly be winter blooms but there could be some surprises!

Lc. Jungle Elf ‘Carmela’ x Cattleya Mark Jones ‘Newberry’

    SKU:9987/30

Lc. Jungle Elf  ‘Carmela’ x Cattleya Mark Jones ‘Newberry’

You can expect semi-compact to dwarf sized plants with spotted yellow blooms similar to the photo shown. The intensity of the freckles with vary but all should be colorful and unique. Suitable for mount or basket culture, and warmth tolerant.

We have found that these prefer very well-draining containers so seedlings are now happily growing in 3" mesh baskets with chunky media.  Plants are expected to reach flowering size within 2 years.

  9. Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *IN SPIKE*

    Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite *IN SPIKE*

    SKU:10354/25

This miniature will look cute as a button gracing your tabletop or sunny windowsill. Small growing plants produce branched stems of tiny delicately pink blooms that carry a lovely and soft fragrance. Flowers last for weeks under normal conditions. Perfect for beginners and a great choice for under light culture.

Plants prefer intermediate conditions with medium to bright indirect light and 65-85 degree temperatures. Roots are very fine so we suggest that you do not allow media to dry completely out, instead maintaining some moisture at all times.

We have plants available in 2.5” pots, that all have two or more spikes, and are in spike stage to bud and bloom soon. Plants can be repotted into larger pots after flowering or next spring on new growth. Get yours before they are gone!

These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.

  10. Phalaenopsis equestris x sibling

    Phalaenopsis equestris x sibling

    SKU:10350/25

    Phalaenopsis equestris

This offering is the result of line-breeding from the famous awarded 'Riverbend' cultivar.  Miniature growing plants will have sprays of dark lavender and white blooms.  The bloom stems continue to produce buds at the end for months after initial flowering is over.  Another plus is the fact that this species is known for producing keikis easily.

These should be grown in intermediate to warm conditions year round and low light (1200-1500 foot candles) for best results.  They tend to make a lot of air roots vs. roots insode their pots which makes them ideal for mounts or small baskets.

We have a limited amount of seedlings ready for the first time.  We expect more to be ready at a later date.

Plants are currently growing in 2.5" pots and are near flowering size.  This means they are expected to bloom spikes in about 12-18 months.   Please Limit to One per Customer.
