  1. Den. primulinum 'Magic' AM/AOS

Den. primulinum 'Magic' AM/AOS x Den. loddigesii 'Gilbert''

    SKU:9442/MT

Pendant growing plants produce waterfalls of pink and cream blooms in late winter and early spring. Plants should have a semi-dry winter rest, when many of the older leaves will drop.  Each spring, new lush foliage emerges to start the cycle again.  Easy to cultivate and so very showy!

Blooming Size plants growing on tree fern mounts with new spring growths just popping out.

They are just waking up! - Please note that plants purchased from late fall through spring are likely to have already dropped their leaves for the cooler season.  This does not mean anything is wrong.  Plants should receive cool, dry conditions until buds appear in late winter.  After new growths are visible you can gradually give more water and starting fertilizing again.

(Dendrobium Ise' Colorful' x Dendrobium Angel Baby 'Newberry' AM/AOS)

Our first cross offered from the recently awarded Dendrobium Angel Baby parent.  Dwarf, almost miniature plants will be covered in long-lasting pale pink and white blooms. Both parents are free flowering, though the biggest display of blooms will be in Late Winter. Plants are easy to cultivate and do not seem to drop leaves as easily as many Dendrobiums. Soft fragrance.

  3. Dendrobium primulinum album *Rare*

    Dendrobium primulinum album *Rare*

    SKU:8844/25

A beautiful form of this captivating species! The name 'primulinum' comes from its spring blooming season and while many seen for sale elsewhere are pink, offered here is the lovely and rare white version.  The growth habit is generally pendant, with the long slender canes hanging downward.  The blooms appear along the length of the new and old canes in late spring or early summer. Our plants are grown in clay pots with good drainage, but they can also be grown in hanging baskets or attached to mounts for a really nice show. This is a compact growing species, with growths less than a foot long when mature.

Considered easy to grow, but these will need some specific growing conditions in order to do their best.  Very bright, though filtered light is best. Brighter light will make stronger canes and more blooms.  Plants will grow well in a range of temperatures from 55-85 degrees, but they do need a cool winter period for buds to set. If they are kept warm year round plants are not likely to flower.  We give ours water year round, though summertime is more frequently and winter is more like a heavy mist.  When in active growth from April through August water well and fertilize every third or fourth watering.  In the fall and winter, give just enough water to keep canes from shriveling. Plants will drop most or all foliage each year.  This is very normal.  Usually the last of the old leaves fall just as new spring growth is emerging.

Plants in this size are large enough to flower within two years.
