Lc. Newberry Ice and Fire 'Summer Song' x Lc. Kiritsubo 'Southern Stars'

(Both parents pictured)

We are so excited about this new hybrid!  Lc. Kiritsubo has proven itself many times as a parent for dwarf, free flowering seedlings.  The first parent is recently registered and is a first generation Laelia anceps cross. This new generation will be very compact with upright stems of semi-alba to pink and possibly some white blooms.  Flowers will be star-shaped and long-lasting.  Plants are warmth tolerant and eventually may prefer baskets or mounts.

We have our first crop of seedlings growing in 2.5" pots.  Approximately 2 years from first flowers?

This is a compact grower but will need bright, indirect light similar to standard cattleya conditions.  Not recommended for windowsill growers for this reason.

To learn more about about this plant, including time to first flowering please click on the 'Additional Information' tab below.  Unless otherwise stated, please understand that bloom photos show mature sized plants not what those offered currently look like.
