Cattleya Snow Blind 'Kenny' x Cattleya walkeriana 'Pendentive' *Blooming Size*

    SKU:LTD-8707/60

Cattleya Snow Blind 'Kenny' FCC/AOS x Cattleya walkeriana alba 'Pendentive' AM/AOS

We have been very impressed with the blooms seen from this Limited Edition cross.  We only produced a handful of plants, and all are reaching flowering size now.  Very round white blooms showing faint lavender blushing or lip coloring.  Incredibly fragrant, and very long-lasting.  We are growing these in plastic mesh baskets with large pieces of tree fern fiber.  This species does best in baskets or mounts, with frequent watering.  Best suited for warm climates only, as they do not llke cool winters.  Plants will stay compact, and as they grow will need larger baskets to wander around on.  Mature plants can be free flowering.

We have two plants available, growing in 6" mesh baskets. Plants are large enough to flower on their next growth late this year.  Photos show example of plant size, and bloom photos shows one of the first to flower.

  7. Elephant Ear Staghorn Fern

Elephant Ear Staghorn Fern (Platycerium elephantotis)

    SKU:FERN-EEStag/35

Staghorn ferns are best suited for growing outdoors in warm climates, sunrooms or greenhouses. In nature, these epiphytes grow in trees where leaf debris collects but drains freely. This species is native to east & central Africa and has large rounded fronds that reach two feet or more in length at maturity. Considered one of the smaller members of this genus. Very rare!

Care Suggestions: Allow media to dry between watering to avoid root rot. Fertilize lightly once per month. Bright indirect light is best. Generally prefers temperatures of 55° or above but mature plants can tolerate short dips in the 40’s without damage.

  8. Epidendrum parkinsonianum *Rare Species*

    Epidendrum parkinsonianum *Rare Species*

    SKU:LTD-Park

    Epidendrum parkinsoanianum

This unusual species is native to regions of Mexico and down into Central America.  Loves warm, bright conditions! Plants have terete foliage that hangs pendant from mounts or hanging baskets. Each growth produces a single waxy green and cream colored bloom.  As plants mature, multiple blooms appear in a single season and even out of season. Should be watered multiple times per week, expecially in warmer months.  Not suitable for in home growing, this will be best for a greenhouse or shadehouse.

We are offering a very well grown plant, with much better than average bloom coloring and form.  (We really want to keep it, but alas space is tight).  It is growing on a narrow tree fern totem and hangs over two feet long.  Photos show the current blooms and overall size of the plant.

  9. Paphiopedilum Gerda 'Magnificum' AM/AOS *Rare Collectors Plant*

Paphiopedilum Gerda 'Magnificum' AM/AOS *Rare Collectors Plant*

    SKU:LTD-PaphGerda

Paphiopedilum Gerda 'Magnificum' AM/AOS  (aka 'Magnifica')

    (Paph. Garibaldi x Swallow)

This very rare heritage slipper offering is from the original plant awarded in 1934.  Representing early complex-style breeding, plants carry tall (12") elegant stems of blooms with distinctly spotted dorsal and petals. Still a clean, vigorous grower even most of a century after being created and awarded.  Easily grown to specimen size. A gorgeous and unusual selection!

Like other Complex Paphiopedilums this will need cool to intermediate temperatures, especially to set its winter buds.  Moderately bright light is best, as brighter light can stress foliage.

We are offering three Blooming Size divisions from our stock collection plant.  All are well grown in 5" pots and are large enough to flower in the coming twelve months.  Photos show what blooms will look like, and examples of plant size

Pricing on this item is Net, and no further discounts or Promo Codes apply. Due to size, this will be shipped at Actual Cost.

Our remake of this popular warm growing cross has tall stems of bold red and purple blooms with curly segments. Can be grown as basket or mount culture in addition to well draining pots.
