  2. Maxillaria tenuifolia *Coconut Orchid*

    Maxillaria tenuifolia *Coconut Orchid*

    SKU:10245/40

This species is famous for its luscious ‘Coconut Cream Pie’ fragrance. Starting in late winter and early spring plants will cover themselves in dozens of dark red blooms that will fill the room with this sweet, tropical scent. Flowers on this cultivar are the largest and darkest we have seen with heavy, long-lasting substance. This species will need to be cultivated in cool to intermediate (65-85 degrees) temperatures and bright, indirect light. As roots should not be allowed to dry out, we suggest watering 2-3 times per week.

We are offering very nice, well grown plants in 4" pots with sturdy bulbs and long grassy foliage. Plants are flowering size and can bloom anytime over the next year.  After flowering, plants can be repotted into larger pots or hanging baskets.
