  1. Dendrobium Angel Kisses

    Dendrobium Angel Kisses

    SKU:9615/30

(Dendrobium Ise' Colorful' x Dendrobium Angel Baby 'Newberry' AM/AOS)

One of our first seedlings to flower is pictured above. Our first cross offered from the recently awarded Dendrobium Angel Baby parent.  Dwarf, almost miniature plants will carry long-lasting displays of pale pink and white blooms. Both parents are free flowering, though the biggest show of blooms will be in Winter. Plants are easy to cultivate and do not seem to drop leaves as easily as many Dendrobiums. Soft fragrance.

  2. Dendrobium Mini Snowflake

    Dendrobium Mini Snowflake

    SKU:DenSnow/40

This charming dwarf hybrid is bred from aberrans x johnsoniae. Compact bushy plants display stems of small, snowy white blooms in the later summer or early fall. As plants mature, they easily produce multiple growths and flower stems each year.  Stocky pseudobulbs carry small, thin foliage along the canes.

We recommend Mini Snowflake for greenhouse, shadehouse or sunroom culture, as plants will need copious amounts of bright, indirect light to flourish.  These will tolerate a range of intermediate to warm or even hot conditions with adequate air flow across the foliage. Average low temperatures of 60-65 degrees in the winter and high summer temperatures around 85-88 degrees will be best.  Unlike some Dendrobiums, these do not need a complete dry winter rest, but water should be greatly reduced in cooler months and fertilizing should be stopped until spring.

We have husky plants growing in 4" pots, some with lots of buds and blooms.  What a great holiday gift!

  3. Dendrobium primulinum album *Rare*

    Dendrobium primulinum album *Rare*

    SKU:8844/25

A beautiful form of this captivating species! The name 'primulinum' comes from its spring blooming season and while many seen for sale elsewhere are pink, offered here is the lovely and rare white version.  The growth habit is generally pendant, with the long slender canes hanging downward.  The blooms appear along the length of the new and old canes in late spring or early summer. Our plants are grown in clay pots with good drainage, but they can also be grown in hanging baskets or attached to mounts for a really nice show. This is a compact growing species, with growths less than a foot long when mature.

Considered easy to grow, but these will need some specific growing conditions in order to do their best.  Very bright, though filtered light is best. Brighter light will make stronger canes and more blooms.  Plants will grow well in a range of temperatures from 55-85 degrees, but they do need a cool winter period for buds to set. If they are kept warm year round plants are not likely to flower.  We give ours water year round, though summertime is more frequently and winter is more like a heavy mist.  When in active growth from April through August water well and fertilize every third or fourth watering.  In the fall and winter, give just enough water to keep canes from shriveling. Plants will drop most or all foliage each year.  This is very normal.  Usually the last of the old leaves fall just as new spring growth is emerging.

Plants in this size are large enough to flower within two years.
