Phragmipedium Hanne Popow 'Cherry Blossom'

(Phragmipedium besseae x Phragmipedium schlimii)

This selection is from the now famous primary hybrid between two compact growing species.  Slender upright stems of cream and pink blooms with a 'fuzzy' appearance. Due to its besseae parentage this has a bit of a climbing habit to its rhizome.

This type of Phragmipedium breeding prefers to be grown with very damp roots.  We are growing plants in clay pots with a sphagnum moss based media.  Plants sit in clay saucers and are watered 3-4 times a week to constantly flush fresh water over the roots.  Intermediate temperatures and high humidity with good airflow are a must.  These will not grow in standard cattleya conditions.

The plant offered is pictured at left. The plant is currently in a 6" clay pot with 3 growths plus the newest growth.  The plant is in spike now.  The bloom photo shows a previous flowering.

Pricing on this item is Net, and no further discounts or Promo Codes apply.  Actual Cost of Shipping Applies.  Plants are only available to be send inside the Continental United States, no International or Overseas Shipping due to CITES regulations. Plants will be shipped as payment is received for each item(s).

Please understand that while some of these Special Offerings may be listed with spikes, buds or blooms, you are purchasing plants offered for their uniqueness, to be collected and grown by serious hobbyists or advanced growers.  For this reason please do not expect us to guarantee buds and blooms of One of a Kind Items.  If for some reason spikes are damaged, plants will reflower in the future with the right care.
